The Code of Canon Law... provides for the establishment of a Parish Pastoral Council to assist the Pastor in planning, coordinating, guiding, and directing all aspects of parish life. In the Diocese of Bridgeport, each parish is required by law to have a Parish Pastoral Council, as per the decree promulgated on June 29, 2019.
While separate from the Parish Finance Council, each having a different and specific role in the life and operation of the parish, the two councils must work together for the good of the parish.
