Knights of Columbus Award
The Knights of Columbus Family of the Month program promotes and supports the development of strong and vibrant families who outwardly exhibit ties of love and faith, exemplifying Catholic family values, and make meaningful contributions to their parish and larger community.
The Knights of Columbus Council 1350 and the entire St. Margaret Mary parish community honor the Brett and Michelle Haywood family.
The Haywoods have been St. Margaret Mary parishioners for 26 years. They are owner/partners of the Adzima and Riverview funeral homes. Brett and Michelle raised 3 sons who received their sacraments here.
Michelle is on the Parish Health Committee Advisory Board and is a member of the Women's Bible Study program. She also helps with the Easter Egg Hunt and Religious Education program. Michelle assists with wrapping and distributing donated gifts to area nursing homes.
Their boys, Zach, Brian, and Tyler have volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul, Spooner House, and Center Stage. Zach was a lector at St. Margaret Mary when he was eleven years old. Tyler and Zach were awarded the Father Whalen Award for excellence in faith formation.
Brian graduated from West Point Military Academy and is now serving our country as an Army 2nd Lieutenant. He just graduated from flight school this month.
The Haywood family will receive a Family of the Month certificate and the roaming holy chalice for the month of June.
