Knights of Columbus Award Given
The Knights of Columbus Family of the Month program promotes and supports the development of strong and vibrant families who outwardly exhibit ties of love and faith, exemplifying Catholic family values, and make meaningful contributions to their parish and larger community.
This month the Knights of Columbus Council 1350 and the entire St. Margaret Mary parish community honor the Aulet family, Max, Jaime, and their three children Lucas, Alex, and Audrey. The children have received their sacraments at St. Margaret Mary Church.
Jaime works in the parish office. She manages the parish website, submits the weekly bulletin, and schedules the Eucharistic Ministers. In addition, she volunteers her time in support of the religious education program. Jaime also serves as a Girl Scout troop leader.
Max is employed at Sikorsky Aircraft. He organizes Camp Sikorsky which is a STEM-focused overnight event for older scouts to inspire them to enter STEM-related careers. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Jude Church. Max is the Scoutmaster for Troop 55.
Lucas is an altar server as well as a scout. He has been awarded various Catholic scouting awards. Lucas is currently finishing up his Eagle Scout project of landscaping the outdoor space at the Derby Neck Library.
Audrey is an altar server who loves dance. Alex loves baseball and curling. They have also been awarded Catholic scouting awards.
The Aulet family will receive a Family of the Month certificate and the roaming holy chalice for the month of February.
