Congratulations 2025 Scholarship Winner

Congratulations to Matthew Robinson this year's recipient of the Men's League and Women's Group scholarship awards. Matthew is a 2025 graduate of Shelton High School and will be attending Western Connecticut State University in the fall to study Music Education.

Matthew, when he was younger, was part of the children's choir. He was an Altar Server through 10th grade and participated in the youth group until COVID.

Matthew, thank you for your years of service to St. Margaret Mary and we wish you well in your future endeavors.

Eucharistic Procession and Holy Hour

Dear St. Margaret Mary Family,

Thank you to all of you who planned, prepared, and participated in the Diocesan Eucharistic Procession on Monday. Although the weather didn't cooperate, and several unexpected changes were presented, you still provided a beautiful, loving, tribute filled with faith to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

So many groups and individuals helped: Pro-life, Women's, Religious Ed children, Men's/Knights, flowers, music, altar servers, landscaping, maintenance, office staff, booklet preparation. If we missed a group, sorry. Thank you to ALL of you!

Even the diocesan clergy told us how impressed they were with our holy hour and St Margaret Mary's parish. You truly brought your "A" game. As clergy we could not be more proud of your efforts.

Thank you so much!

Fr. Joe and Deacon Jeff

Knights of Columbus Award Given

The Knights of Columbus Family of the Month program promotes and supports the development of strong and vibrant families who outwardly exhibit ties of love and faith, exemplifying Catholic family values, and make meaningful contributions to their parish and larger community.

This month the Knights of Columbus Council 1350 and the entire St. Margaret Mary parish community honor the John and Christine Turner family who have been lifelong parishioners of St. Margaret Mary Church. They were married in our church 33 years ago.

Christine was active in many parish children's programs and events. She taught religious education for about 7 years. She and her sister were instrumental in establishing Mary's Kids social group for the children of our parish under Father Ciprian. Christine also helped with Summer Bible Camp and the Easter Egg Hunt.

The Turners have four children, Maggie, Julie, Rebecca, and Johnny. They received all their sacraments and religious education at our parish. The Women's League Scholarship was awarded to Maggie who attended Northeastern. Rebecca attends Virginia Tech with help from the Men's League Scholarship. All three girls were altar servers. Johnny and his Dad help with ushering at this Mass.

The Turner family will receive the Family of the Month certificate and the roaming holy chalice for the month of May.
