Welcome!

Welcome to St. Margaret Mary Parish. We are a Roman Catholic faith community devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as taught to us by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque's example. We embrace all who come to worship with us as we continue to build a family of faith in Jesus Christ through Catholic worship, formation and charity. We hope you find this website informative and useful. Please don't hesitate to call with any questions or needs you may have. Our doors are always open!

Blessings in Christ!

Pastor, Fr. Henry Hoffman

Seminarian & Vocations Drive

Your prayers for vocations are working! Over the past two years, we have accepted 19 new men to begin seminary, bringing our total to 37 seminarians, with more in application. This blessing, however comes with a challenge. Each seminarian's education costs more than $70,000 per year, and we anticipate total formation costs will rise to $3 million per year within five years. Bishop Caggiano has announced a special drive to fund these rising costs. Will you give to support our future priests?

Feast of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Celebration

Thank you to all of our parishioners who joined us on Saturday, October 18th following our 4:30pm Mass to celebrate the Feast Day of our Patroness St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. About 60 people enjoyed the catered dinner hosted by the Women's Group and the Men's League. Thank you as well to all of our volunteers who made this event extra special.

St. Augustine Medal Awarded

On Saturday, September 27th the Diocese of Bridgeport held its annual St. Augustine Medal Ceremony at St. Augustine Cathedral. The St. Augustine Medal is awarded to volunteers selected by their school or parish in the Diocese. Congratulations to Evan and Mary Jo Sarris, the 2025 recipients of the St. Augustine Medal for St. Margaret Mary Parish.

Knights of Columbus Award Given

The Knights of Columbus Family of the Month program promotes and supports the development of strong and vibrant families who outwardly exhibit ties of love and faith, exemplifying Catholic family values, and make meaningful contributions to their parish and larger community.

This month the Knights of Columbus Council 1350 and the entire St. Margaret Mary parish community honor the Steve and Erica Sprague family who have been faithful parishioners of St. Margaret Mary Church for 10 years and attend Mass every week.

Steve and Erica have two children, Dylan and Devyn, who are both altar servers. They have received their sacraments in our parish and attend religious education classes.

Dylan participates in the school band percussion section by playing the snare drum.

Devyn will be joining Girl Scouts soon.

Steve is a home integration installer. He supports his family in all their activities and endeavors.

Erica is a nurse at St. Raphael's Hospital. She is part of our parish Health Cabinet. She helps with the blood pressure clinic. Erica is also the 5th grade religious education assistant.

The Sprague family will receive the Family of the Month certificate and the roaming holy chalice for the month of October.
